I just had a phone conversation with Mike Mrazek of Synchrologic. Mike is a technical POC for the DON CIO server installation. We went over a list of requirements for the install.

1. Intel CPU greater than 400 Mhz.
2. Memory: 256 MB or greater
3. Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2
4. IIS 5.0
5. Outlook 2000 client, with both SR1 and SR2 applied
6. Internet connection
7. SQL Server 2000 or MSDE. The SQL server should have SP2 installed
8. Latest ODBC drivers. MDAC version 2.7

One problem I forsee is there will most likely need to be a firewall modification. Either inbound initiated SSL connection or some reverse proxy sitting in DMZ, allowed through. I explained to Mike this was going to be a problem and we need to hold off until I get clarification from him on specifically how this works.
