After splitting an avi with virtualdub and burning it with nero, the audio is about 20 seconds faster than the video when played. Why?

It's a known problem with virtual dub

When you split a file in virtual dub, check in the menu the both video and audio are set to "direct stream copy", that is the only way to leave the file as it is.

The "nero" doesn't have no effect on the movie
