A car that runs on tomatoes

Does anyone know of any sites about running your car on waste vegetable oil? There was a man on the news last night who said this was really cheap technology.

any deisel engine will run on veggie oil, with little modifications. YOu will run into problems during cold weather though. But that can be solved by useing half and half, oil to fuel

Do a googlesearch for biodiesel, veggie van, and look in an issue from homepower on this subject.

two college studients awhile back made biodiesel from mcdonalds waste oil and travelled across the country trying to promote the concept. They gave plans on how to do it and all that.

it is a good thing that you don't live in england, they fine people who make their own diesel. go figure, recylce oil and get fined.

also I think that one could make a propane runned motor to run off of methane which could be made at "home".

Then again one could make a joe cell and run off of hydrogen

hope this is helpful
