Does anyone know why my Nero burning rom wont let me put more than 8 files per VCD, regardless of length?

I'm hoping someone on here will be able to help me...

Every time I try and make a VCD with Nero, and try to put more than 8 files on, even if the files are only like 2 minutes long each, I get a runtime error and the program crashes. Does anyone know how I can fix and/or work around this?

Thanks

I have no idea ! Which version of Nero are you using. I have used 5.5.6.9 often, and have never had this problem. I made VCD's with 60 to 70 files (music wit 250kb video) sevral times.

I have not yet tried it with 5.5.9.9.which I installed this weekend, but I expect no problems.

PS : are you sure they are valid VCD MPEG files ?

I've been using 5.5.3.2 of Nero and burning VCD movies, Karaokes, no problems.

No clear on your files, are they all .dat? if so, you can bring up DVD or VCD player play one file at atime (using file mode), see if individual file is OK. If they are OK, must be burnt properly. For Karaoke stuff, I constantly squeezed 17 songs onto a 700 MB CD, almost full, Nero burnt it with no problem.
