Lindsey, I think that "The Cask of Amontillado" is the best short story by Poe. It is about revenge and has a good plot and theme.

A very delicate question, always referring to anybody's subjectivity. Poe often repeated that "Ligeia" was his best tale, but, though commenting it on several times, he never explained why. Yours sincerely, Raven's Shade (Belgium).
