New item at the OK store

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

I added a new item to the OK store. Check out the Poster (16x20 inches) of OK's own Mark "Mook" Everett at the last control on the 2002 U.S. Relay Champs.

I have no idea how high the quality is. I think I'll order my own poster soon to check it out.

If anyone has some ideas for the OK store, let me know. It'd be nice to have some new items with new artwork. Are there any aspiring graphic artists out there?

What a great shot of Mook! I assume it was a digital camera -- what resolution did you shoot it at?

Let's just hope that Spike allowed enough of a profit margin that Mook's royalties will be covered. Orienteering can be an expensive sport!

Before I uploaded the image to Cafeshops, I had to agree to the following..."The following types of artwork ARE NOT PERMITTED on the CafePress.com service:...Names or images of famous people."

JJ - I took the photo with my Olympus Brio D-100 digital camera. It was set for "super high quality." The original image has a vertical resolution of 300 and a horizontal resolution of 300. The image is 1280x960. It is 838 kb.

For the image that I uploaded, I changed the resolution to 150 (which is what Cafepress recommended as the minimum) and enlarged the image to 2400x3201.

I don't really know if the image on the poster will look ok. Enlarging the little snapshot to almost 16x20 might cause too much loss of quality. Or maybe it'll look good. I guess I'll have to order one to find out.
