hello ppl plz help me with an unknown codec i have a mpg file which following facts MPEG-1 352x240 29.97fps 1150kbps CBR Layer-2 44.1khz 224kbps Stereo i guess i have almost all codecs and players(even a dvd player)installed but i cannot playback it...there must be probably an unknown codec left?? help very appreciated thkz

Your PC should already come with the MPEG-1 codec installed. You could try installing the latest Windows Media Player and see if that helps. You could also install the Elecard MPEG player (http://www.elecard.com), but it's not free.

get powerdvd. it plays dvd's and vcd's (mpeg-1) very clearly. hope it works :)
