Silence- A Fable, I need some feedback!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread

I guess I'm just looking for critical analysis for this short story. I think I know what I want to write about, I just need to back it up. Am I the only one that's ever chosen this tale to write about or what?

See silence motifs in other works The sonnet "Silence" where there are two kinds of silence. The tension of movement and silence and sound in Dreamland, The City in the Sea and other places show this is a profound idea for Poe as well as a powerful emotion arising from utter isolation and fear. The emotion of the experience is the teacher about silence.

But it depends what YOUR ideas are so far. Otherwise I don't know what you are trying to back up.
