I need help from anime fans !!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

Mtv had a short lived series called "AMP", various techno songs by bands such as "the chemical brothers" and "orbital" would be played to backgroud images. Some were computer generated, (such as fluke's song "atom bomb")and some where clips from anime movies. Here's the challenge, to anyone who remebers, the band PHOTEK had a song titled "Ni Ten Ichi Ryu." The song didn't really impress me much, but the clip was from what looked to be a great movie....if anyone remembers it, or any other anime used in Mtv's Amp, please let me know.

I think Ninja Scroll might have been on that.

you are absolutly right, ninja scroll was featured in MTv's cartoon sushi, and may have been in some of AMP, but this clip was somewhat futureistic, involving a hover bike and people shooting from roof tops. Thank you though!

What you're describing sounds like the video for Ken Ishii's "Extra". A killer little animated short, and no, it wasn't part of any film. It does borrow heavily from Akira though. "Ni Ten Ichi Ryu" was live-action, and used clips from old samurai movies. Both are great tracks, and great videos... man, I'd love to see Amp on TV again (btw, isn't "amp" an odd name for a show with very little guitar-based music? guess that was the only piece of electronic equipment MTV could think of...)

huh....might it of been from Zieram the Animation?i think i remember one like that.

Does anyone know of a source or fan groups that collects AMP/MTV- style (electronica) videos?
