Greenhouse cover for my worm farm expansion.

Hmmm, lessee...? Umm, today I'm working on that floor painting I was talking about. Also, I refinished a computer "stuff" desk. Turned out good, sort of a pickled/whitewashed/antique/crackle faux finish. So anyway, I guess I'll move everything and see if I can reinstall my scanner and printer, which aren't working for some reason.

My stooopid fencer is down somewhere...again. :-/ And I got 10 new baby ducks, so I need to figure out where to put them. No emus any longer, so I'll mow that pen and think about what needs to be there...

Mow somemore, but it's wet right now. Also fix my wheel barrow and move mulch on MULTIPLE beds. Did I tell y'all I have a lifetime supply of mulch now? Remember the tree boyz, one of them has his own biz as well, and he's local, so he'll bring it to me whenever I want it...Cool. I have 4 HUGE(!!!)piles right now to deal with. I'm putting in around six new beds, as a matter of fact. I need a skidloader, actually.....

My back room is shaping up into a studio.....maybe I'll get creative?

Goats need some herd work, feet and worming before being bred, perhaps this week.

Stiiiill painting.

I should finish a project before starting another, LOL!

Jay,Do you wholesale prepackaged fishing worms?

Boy Patty, did you leave some time to sleep?? LOL My week is expected to be much quieter(so far) just delivering some muscovies to the Amish community, picking up heartworm meds from the vet, cleaning the goose/duck house & chicken coop including roosts, haul & stack 50 bales of hay, clean upholstery in my car, maybe put up 200'of welded wire fence inside of the existing barb-coyotes found the way into the pasture closest to the house, clean, paint and rearrange pantry and finally bake 8 loaves of honey whole wheat bread, 16 dz cookies & 10 loaves of pumpkin nut bread for the Pumpkin Festival. Overall, not a bad week since the weather is supposed to be cool.

I tilled most of the summer garden this morning, fetilized it with bone meal and seeded it to oats. One small area I should be able to rake tomorrow and seed it to salad greens for the fall. My husband is updating my resume and I hope to be job hunting soon. I hope I can find something agriculturally related but I will probably end up working in health care again.

So far I've got orders 8 loaves of Honey Whole Wheat Bread and 10 large loaves of Pumpkin Nut bread along with cookies-I've got a really good pumpkin spice cookie recipe & a chewy oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe. If you make cookies and want the recipes I'll post it. If I get time I've also got folks interested in cinnamon bread & pecan sticky buns so I may make those too. When I was in WI I owned & operated Kathy's Country Kitchen and I'm also a master cake decorator. Woman of many talents- as long as it doesn't involve needles and thread! :) The Pumpkin Festival is the first Saturday in October in Edmonton,KY. All these baked goods are for orders from some of the working women in the area. They like 'from scratch' baked goods but don't have the time to do it. Many people have fall parties around here over that weekend since it's sort of like a county homecoming and they want baked goods to serve to guests so they buy them from me & freeze them. Works out good for me and them. I will really be baking the week before the Festival, I'm setting up a booth of my baked goods and some crafts too. I don't remember giving you a pumpkin muffin recipe but if I did & you're enjoying it I'm glad. I just don't want to take credit for a recipe I may not have posted. I post recipes on a couple of cooking sites so I can't remember where certain ones end up.

Well, I'm not doing a whole heck of alot! Trying to relearn typing here is taking quite an effort! After not really being able to use my left hand for awhile...I'm just a little "slow" here :-)!! Our major project for the next few weeks or so will be to get the rest of the firewood cut, split and piled. We did manage to replace all of our older black woodstove pipe (after having a VERY scary chimney fire last spring!!) with new metalbestos (sp.?) double-walled pipe. We'll feel lots safer this coming winter!! Bred my two remaining does early this year. I'll be having February kids! Now I'm hoping to replace this nubian buck I've been using for the past couple of years with a really good alpine buck!! I really want to get back on track here with my breeding program! I also cannot seem to get this buck's founder problem under control!! Didn't seem to bother him during breeding, though -)!! Other than that...things are starting to quiet down here in Maine. I'm looking forward to the quieter days so that I can restart some of my cross-stitch projects that have been on hold for like....forever!! Leaves are just beginning to change color and the day temps are very comfortable for working. Still pulling lobster trabs, but catching mostly crabs now! Kathy...is your pumpkin spice cookie recipe available for public viewing?? It sounds delicious!!
