Conceptual distinction between Collabertation and Teamwork

greenspun.com : LUSENET : work teams : One Thread

Hello. I am doing some research on teamwork and collaberation with in police departments. I think I have a good handle on what teamwork is and how that term is normally used in the literature. However, I am not a strong with the term "collaberation." Does anyone have a good definition of the term (especially one grounded in some scholary literature)?

Sincerely,

Scott Richeson

Its definition within the team realm generally means that, both parties or individuals are able to work out an agreement, wherby each party obtains 100 percent of what they were seeking. In other words both parties walk away completly satisfied. There is no compromise.
