False Insurance Claim

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

The info in my SARN/ABBEY gave details of an insurance claim they made because I had taken a "fixture" with me. I don't want to say what it was - in case they read this. But it was a fixture I installed at my own cost.

Anyway I know now I'm not supposed to have done this. They made an insurance claim and stated the grounds for the claim as "theft". This added about £150 to my shortfall. Not a lot but there is a principal here.

I asked them for copies of the crime report etc and haven't got them yet. I was fed up this morning and decided to phone the lady who bought my house. I told her I was from the Abbey National Marketing Dept and would she mind answering a few questions to help with our marketing of repossessed homes. She was ever so helpful. She told me the house had been vandalised (not by me as I loved my home). I also found out that this fixture had not been replaced when she moved in. I feel the claim is definately fraud - what should I do now?

Any advice anyone??
