Down's Syndrome

I have just recently begun studying Down Syndrome. After reading Dr. Down's paper, "Observations on an Ethnic Classicfication of Idiots" I found Dr. J. Jangdon H. Down to be a racist. He believed that "mongoloids" were a separate race. He also believed that not only mongoloids but blacks were an inferior and lower form of the human race. Why have we named children with and additional chromozone after a bigot? Read his paper and let me know what you think. Isn't it time to find a new name for these special people.

If one expunged every racist from the hsitorical record, there might not be many folks left. That being said, the condition Down discovered is now officially called Trisomy 21, I believe.
