Some people have mad wives who decide to take themselves to hospital and insist on being kept in even though the doctors say there is no need. Those people end up missing the match and try to key in their pin number on cable just so they can at least watch it on the telly only to find that the same mad wife has thrown away the card you keep the pin number on to make way for some charming miniature cottages. Hi Vatos. I guess we're the only ones here tonight. What do the Leeds announcers think about the match. I got into Metro about an hour prior to ko, so am listening to that. They make it sound like Leeds are playing with 12 men. i.e. Gallacher isn't giving us many calls.

Loserhead is giving me heart failure! Esp when Shola's shot was cleared off the line. Though, to be fair, the crowd also reacted as though that one was in.

Very frustrating that the only thing between us and a handful of goals sounds to be Robinson. Time for our 2nd half goal fest! He can't last the full 90min at this rate....can he???

Verdict?

Well, firstly we were very unfortunate not to get something out of a game in which we dominated possession and played some canny football.

Having said that if you miss a whole series of half chances, rely on a defence that play like complete strangers and make errors galore, and are as weak as p**s in midfield, then the chances are you are going to get beaten.

I can't really be @rsed to say any more - other than this is going to be a difficult season.

We played bliddy well in the first half, but missed to many chances. SHola played really well in build-up but failed to convert any. One of the most exciting halves I've seen in a long time.

Second half, we went off the boil and got bossed in midfield. I actually didn't think the defence played too badly, except for a distinct lack of communication when Bernard headed out for a corner, from the subsequent play, they scored their second. O'Brien missed a sitter as did Shola in the 2nd half. Shearer shot weakly when instead he might have passed to Solano (who no doubt would have blazed it over/wide).

We did enough to win, against a pretty decent Leeds team. If we play like we did in the first half, with a fully fit Bellers on all game, we'll win a lot. But I know we won't be fired up to play like that in every game.

Dermott Gallagher is a baldy git. The linesman in front of me is under no dillusions about what he is.
