POSSESSION ORDER/MJO

Abbey National

We handed in our keys with a letter after the Abbey threatened to take action to reposess our house.

I have Sarn'd the Abbey etc and asked for copies of of the Possession Order and MJO. They have written back saying they did not retain copies of the MJO and Possession Order but are going to try and get me a copy from the courts.

Does this sound right? The reason I ask this is that I was told by someone on this this site that as I gave up the house voluntarily they wouldn't need/have to obtain these orders. I didn't give them a forwarding address - would that have made any difference?

Any advice anyone??

What the Abbey have told you sounds possible to me. You could try ringing the court yourself too, as a double check.

I think the Lender could still take out an MJO for the mortgage shortfall, if there is one ?
