CDR problem with Toshiba sd-1200 DVD player

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

hi all, I've owned a DVD player---Toshiba sd-1200, but my sony cdr won't work and all the time I got "disc error". I also has been aware that there are very few brands CDRs support this player, the one I've heard is Fujifilm 80 cdr. Could any one of u tell me which brand of CDR really works for this player, or have u ever tried Fujifilm 80 cdr? Sincerely,

p.s. Not often being here, plz reply me by email. Great THANXS!!!

.that model doesnt support cdr, only store bought dvd's and store bought music cd's.by the way, for dvd's that model is excellent.if you want a dvd player that does more then get an apex.just dont get the 3 disc model.

John Boy is correct. Basically the problem is that many Toshiba models don't support CD-R media at all. In fact, some Toshiba DVD players sold in the USA not only don't support CD-R, they won't even play commercial VCDs! The units play DVD and audio CD and that's it - nothing else. His advice on Apex is dead on the money too - they make some great players, but not the 3 disc changers, which have terrible quality problems.
