Amazing Act of Kindness

Okay ... I just HAVE to share this with you all. It's one of the nicest things that's happened to us in a long time, and it needs sharing!

Some of you know that Cheryl and I haven't had very good luck with our cars in the last few months. Our main family car (a '93 Chevy Lumina) quit on us, our 89 Merc Cougar got too hot and blew up, and our van quit on us a long time ago. So ... we've been looking for a vehicle that Cheryl could get around in while I'm out on the road in the big truck I drive for a living. I HATE leaving Cheryl and the kids and my mom here with no way to get around - scares the poo out of me!

We've had several offers for vehicles (thanks everyone!!!) and still have a couple things in the works. However, with our finances being in the gutter, we haven't had any money to spend on a car (not until the water, electric, phone and food bills are paid, anyway), and won't have for about another month. But thanks to a GREAT lady that we hope to get to know a LOT better, Cheryl now has an automatic GMC pickup she feels comfortable driving! YEAH!!!!!

What's the amazing part? Well, this lady (who will remain nameless until I make sure she doesn't mind me praising her openly - she knows who she is ) don't know us from Adam. Other than here on the forum, that is. Not only did she help us out with this pickup, she did it with no money up front, told me to pay what I could when I could ONLY if the truck worked out for us, and even filled it up with gas for us! Pretty amazing, wouldn't you say? It's people like her that restore my faith in humanity, and I wanted to let her know how much she is appreciated and how much I'm looking forward to getting to know her and her family better! Guess the only thing left to say is

THANKS!!!

What a great story. I'm glad that Cheryl will be able to get around now. Things like this kind of restore my faith in humanity. I'm glad things worked out well for you.
