Okay, I swore off reading Buffy spoilers months ago and then I figured I was so far behind in the spoilers that it didn't matter anyway. But today had to pop in here. I am so glad the spoiler I saw was the return of the mayor. I adore the Mayor. That makes me very happy if it's true.

But, the real reason I stopped by this thread was to implore you (Stacey) to start up the Angel spoilers again. For some reason I find it okay to read those and not the Buffy ones. Actually, having the Angel spoilers makes not having the Buffy ones bearable. Does that make any sense?

I might be more excited about the mayor coming back than I am about any other spoilers I've heard. Well, except possibly Giles on a horse. That one was pretty good too.

I wouldn't consider the mayor confirmed yet like Glory and Warren are -- I haven't read about him in any interviews from the ME staff, which tends to be the point at which I consider casting spoilers confirmed. But the name has popped up from a couple of different spoiler sources so far, so I'm hopeful.

I will be so overjoyed if it does come to pass.

Somehow I managed to read that as "the trail of the abusive spoiler," and I got terribly afraid we were in for another season of Buffy and Spike beating each other into the ground. Ick.

Got nothing new at the moment, but supposedly there are photos from location shoots in England circulating. I'm trying to track them down for y'all in the hopes that they'll include Giles.

Update on the England pictures since people are anxious: One of them does apparently include Giles, and both include Aly. It's the latest issue of SFX Magazine, if anyone happens to run across it. Otherwise, scans should theoretically be available tomorrow. If they are, I'll link 'em for you.

A little more from the Oracle about episode 2. When Spike realizes Anya's about to spill the beans in front of Buffy about his soul- having, he fake-attacks Anya so Buffy won't find out. I'm not entirely clear from reading the spoilers whether the point of the attack is to temporarily distract Anya or to make her think she's completely wrong about the soul.

Xander talks Anya into undoing the curse on Ronnie-the-giant-worm-guy.

And Buffy starts her new job at Sunnydale high, but her Slayer job prevents her from actually starting work.
