One of my teachers told me Poe was found in a puddle of his own urine with a bottle of liquor in his hands and that he O.ded. I was just wonfering if this is true. Oh she also told me every night on his birthday someone puts a bottle of liquor and takes the flowers off of his grave. I wanted to know if this is true also. I would greatly appreciate it if you responded to this question as my teacher would like to know if it is true also. Thank you for your time.

Your teacher is completely wrong about Poe's death. Someone does leave a bottle of Cognac and three red roses on his grave on the anniversary of his birthday. (He is known as "the Poe Toaster.")

I was told that Poe went to visit someone and he was later found in the middle of the street wearing someone elses clothes and drunk or druged. He was by this time very ill and he was admitted into a hospital. They thought he was used as a repeat voter (which is why he was in someone elses clothes, and why he was drunk) and the people just left him there when they were finished with him. but that is just what i was told.

He died of rabies, because he was bitten by his cat and his cat had rabies. OH YA AND IF ANY GIRLS WHAT TO E_MAIL ME!
