U.S. Airways Bankrupt

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

Well U.S. Airways is bankrupt and 3 OK team members have tickets to go to the relays on the U.S. Airways. A strike also looms for the mechanics. Count me out of the training camp. Prolly the relays too at this point.

US Airways is bankrupt, but so far they are expecting to be able to keep their schedule. We'll see what happens.

Peggy and Nadim will be at the relays. They took 3rd overall last weekend at the DVOA rogaine (6 hours, I think).

And that camestraight from the CEO and the press. I believe it.

OK, we'll have to find the smokemobile as get it ready as a backup. The Clampetts are heading back east.

We're planning on flying Southwest, one of the few airlines still in the black. We just have to decide which fine city (Manchester, Albany, or Hartford) to fly into...

The Rogaine was 8 hours, 8 delightful hours of heat, humidity, spider webs, thick mountain laurel... (Actually, it was pretty nice.)

I think I may have Lyme disease -- have had over a dozen deer tick bites (yes, from the US Champs woods...) and yesterday discovered a rash... But I will soldier on and WILL be at the relays!

Peggy, best wishes on your marriage! I look forward to meeting Nadim someday. I see by your email address you are keeping the Dickison name. True? Or is it simply a nom d'O?

I am keeping my name. After all this time, I'm pretty attached to it! (We're following the Mike & Mary template.)
