pros and cons of Kodaly, Orff, and Suzuki methods for a Music Therapistgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Everything About Teaching and Learning the Piano : One Thread |
I am a Music Therapist in Chicago. I am looking for reviews of different pedagogical techniques for special needs students. Any one care to enlighten me?

Hi ~I know that Dalcroze Eurhythmics has been used quite successfully in music therapy. There's a book on this by Clare-Lise Dutoit titled, "Music Movement Therapy," but you might begin by attending some Dalcroze workshops.
More information on the method itself is available at http://www.dalcrozeusa.org or my site, http://www.musikinesis.com.
Best, Monica
