I am looking for any available information and photographs of C&WC wooden combine No. 38. It was not a "Jim Crow" conbine, but a standard combine with passenger compartment on one end and a baggage compartment on the other. It was likely built in about 1905 - 1907.

One thing to remember is that not all "Jim Crow" combines had the center-baggage feature. Some appeared to be conventional combines but had a bulkhead placed somewhere in the passenger compartment dividing the seating area. One drawback to this type car (at least, in those times, was the fact that there was only one vestibule and one race had to pass through the seating area of the other in order to reach its "legal" seat.
