What'll we do when Greenspun goes?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : FRL friends : One Thread

Unk has an alternate space picked out, but we don't. Someone over on Unks said last time LUSENET was down for a few days that Phil has said he's no longer supporting it. Obviously someone is, but not very well. So, anyone have a suggestion on where else we might "meet"?

Hmmmn. Good question ...

What about FreeRepublic.com ... then setup a "daily" Fruitcake thread like Word of the Day, Freeples, Joe's Bar, or the coteblanche's daily poetry threads?

Or - gasp! - The LOTR threads?

You set it up and they will come, Robert ;-)

It means figuring out how they handle posts there, seems a bit complicated to me. But maybe that's just because it's late and I'm tired.

And fighteing finger flu. Speaking of which, where's Chuck these days, anybody know?

Tricia, he can be found on the TB forum. I think he's part of the moderating crew these days:

There is always Uncle Deedah's site here:

Unk's Wild Wild West

Helen has already visited there, as well as some others, and I am sure that all would be welcome.

Just an FYI,

While I was always more of a lurker than a participant, I would miss coming here for the stories you all tell. If you do go elsewhere, I hope to find you. Probably do a Google search on "Mike the Mule", or "Lon Frankenstein" or "Tricia the Canuck" would hopefully do the trick.

Whatever happens, I would like to thank you all for keeping the FRL Friends site going for so long. Long live the the FRL Friends!

Damn, (pardon my French), I should have mentioned that Unk Deedah's new site is on a different board - Hostboard - that should prevent most troll postings.
