I actually made several posts at TB2K while we were down this time. It's not so horrible over there. At least there are no troll/nihilists, no flood of crude, puerile insults and there is as much intelligent discussion as there is here. In fact, there are several posters from Unk's. Didn't know that.

Some of those folks are inclined to post ultra-long CNPs. Well, we see that here too.

There is too much schmaltz at TB2K for my tastes but somehow that is easier to ignore than too much abuse.

The limitation to using one screen name was good and bad. There were several times I wanted to make smart-alecky remarks but did not because I couldn't hide behind a pseudonym. OTOH it required discipline on my part to post words that were directly identified as mine.
