how much can you get for an original

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Work of Edgar Allan Poe : One Thread

I have an original Edgar A Poe book that was published in 1904 and it was signed by him. I would like to no if it is worth anything. The pages have started to break because the book is old so I put it in a zip lock bag to preserve the rest of the book. If you could suggest what to do wiht the book please let me no.

A book signed by Poe some 55 years after his death would have some novelty value I suppose...

facsimile signatures are very common in editions of Poe's works. The unwary are sometimes misled. The book is probably worth little to nothing. Sorry.
