I can only talk about the differences between an 2000 and a 2002, since I've never had or ridden on 2001.

When I first got the '02, it felt noticeable stronger than the '00 model. The evil flat spot from 3,000 to 5,000 rpm was going and the power deliver was more linear. After break in, I'd say the '02 is definitely faster from 5,000 rpm to redline, but based on seat of the pants feel, it's not enormous. Noticeable and maybe signifigant, but not mindblowingly faster. It could also be that I've gotten use to the 2002's power.

I believe the 2000s have 124 crank, 2001 had 127hp, and the '02 has 135hp. Therefore, I imagine the difference betweens the '01 and '02 would not be too much. A Senna/SPR v. a 2000 F4S, now that's would be an interesting comparision.

Lastly, the most noticeable aspect of the '00 vs. the '02 (aside the fact the '02 hasn't broken on me yet) is the smoother and linear power curve, which makes the '02 much, much easier to drive.
