i would like to know if there is any book, research paper, or online resource that may help me in finding more information of the history and evolution of sexual predators, specifically pedaphiles?

You should be able to find summary articles in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV) published by the American Psychiatric Association, and in any encyclopedia of psychology--but spell it right, pedophilia. Many of the DSM articles are online, so a search should turn up plenty. You should also be able to find material in textbooks on psychopathology, and especially books on sexual disorders.
