Rev. Fisher and Sis. Jan are you barbequing without us?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

Dear Rev. Fisher and beautiful sister Jan how are you both doing? We have not heard from you in a while and was wondering if you were having a barbeque without your A.M.E Family. Baby brother Bill Dickens has been touring the country looking for food, rumor has it he is headed to New orleans, get ready New orleans. So if you not posted for fear that Brother Bill would come and eat you out of your house and home. Don't worry he is heading west. We all love you and sister Jan and when we don't hear from you it's lonely. Plus we are like a bunch of kids in daycare, if the teacher leaves we are going to play and throw water balloons. Oh, I am sorry that's Jerryl, Jazzman, and Vernon Byrd and their ring leader Ray Allen that does that;-) We love you Rev. Fisher and Sis. Jan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to take Bill to my favorite restaurant when he gets here, but if he is going to eat me "out of house and home", I may need to re-vector to a buffet.

Good catch on which "Vernon Byrd" you were addressing. :-)

We, too, miss the voice of the Editor. Our prayers are with him.

Some places to eat in new Orleans: Mama's (Soul Food), Copeland's, Redfish Grill (New Orleans fare), Commander's Palace, Emeril's (best dining experience of my life), Chez Paul's - bring a big wallet for any of these. I also enjoyed the following restaurants in nearby Metairie/Kenner: Jazz Seafood, Jukebox Diner, Roadhouse grill, Italian Cafe. If I think of more, I'll post later.
