Talked to Ben today.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Troll-free Private Saloon : One Thread

I saw Ben today. Let me explain. I moved to this area about 30 years ago. My wife and I are politically active independents. Sometimes we work for Republicans and sometimes for Democrats. Depends on their views. We met Ben, early on, working for a Republican. His views were different. He considered Republicans the gift of God and Democrats the spawn of the devil. I have seen him, off and on, over the last 30 years. After all, he lives a mile south of me. He is also a HAM person who runs local emergency response.

Ben and his wife Amy lived a frugal life. They had saved to be able to move to Arizona and live near their one daughter and their grandchildren. By their plan, that would be in 2003.

Why did I see Ben yesterday? I walked the pup at about 6:00 am. We had a big storm moving in with lots of lightening. We got the dog walking out of the way early. At 8:00, I got ready to go to town. When I stepped outside, you could hardly inhale. There was a smell which was similar to a combination of burning grass and burning garbage. I checked my property and didn’t find any fire so I headed into town. There it was. Ben’s place. Lightening had hit a large round bail of hay [missed his house and his SW tower but hit the hay; life is funny that way]. It was smoking like a large smuge pot.

I stopped and talked [we still do this in the country]. He said that he was lucky that it missed the house. When I asked when he would be leaving for Arizona he said he wouldn’t be. His stocks were so low that he would have to work as long as he lived. As I left, he said, if you want to work on screwing some Republicans, give me a call.

Best Wishes,,,,,

Z

Z, I think a lot of Republicans are feeling this way.

I recently had lunch with a couple of women I used to work with, both Republicanally inclined. Their stocks are way down, and they are not blaming the Democrats. They are most unhappy.

Is Ben's last name "Dover"?

-- (bwahaha@stoopid.pugs), July 27, 2002.

Ben sounds like a typical asshole pug. He spends his life supporting and participating in the ignorant, intolerant, greedy, disgustingly corrupt policies of the repugs. Then when he eventually gets fucked in the ass by his own kind, he turns on them and blames them for his misfortune, instead of admitting that it was his own actions that got him to where he is and taking the responsibility for his actions.

Nipper, which logical fallacy is Ben indulging?

Funny, you've never struck me as being independent at all Z. Did you make up the whole story or just the part about being an independent?

Roll me over: It's the cubic mile of hogshit fallacy.

Z, you should have by now learned not to tell touching personal stories to these coldhearted assholes.

They have no compassion and can't see beyond their noses, and a few of them are even mentally ill.

I've learned the hard way too.

FWIW, I always enjoy your stories, Z.

Btw, I have no idea why Unk calls this a troll-free forum. It's quite the joke. That is unless the troll is Unk. And then it all makes perfect sense.

It used to be troll free, then dickheads like "Pearls" got in here and fucked it all up.

Awwwwwwww. Better watch out Z, I think he loves you

Unk, don't blame your neglect of this place on me. If you can't handle being "in charge", then perhaps you should let Lars or Z do it. You can argue that it's your board, but I don't agree. I think it belongs to us all. We make it, not you. I'm not going to feign gratefulness and kiss your ass like so many pathetic others, because I'm not grateful to you. Frankly, I think you're a shitty hurtful person.

From one dickhead to another

Hey pearls, you should pull your head out of your ass. People died to make this a free country, and if you don't like it that way you're more than welcome to fucking leave and take your fascist ideals with you.

-- (get@lost.scumbag), July 28, 2002.

A shitty hurtful person...hmmm.

I have indeed hurt people, ya got me there. I rarely set out to be hurtful on purpose, but I am as guilty as anyone who interacts with fellow human beings of hurting somebody's feelings sometimes. Sometimes, however, I DO set out to hurt others, but if so I do it settle a score. I've NEVER set out to hurt others for no reason, therefore deriving some sort of demented pleasure from the act. That's just not me.

And I do take shits, at least once a day. But that alone doesn't make me any shittier than thou art.

So, I suppose I cannot agree with your summation of my character. Lord knows I'm not perfect, but I am hardly a shitty hurtful person.

Perhaps you (whoever you are) should call yourself "swine before pearls".

OOpsie, there I go being shitty and hurtful again!

Oh, and if it ISN'T my board, why is it that I am the one who can change the fuckin password whenever I wish??

-- Uncle Deedah (unkeeD@yahoo.com), July 28, 2002.

oooh what a big man, you can change the password. Too bad that won't make up for other inadequacies

-- (pearls@before.swine), July 28, 2002.

I knew that there was a reason that you don't cast pearls before swine.

The stupid mother fuckers can never appreciate them.
