"About 6 years ago, I was referred to the local mental health authority at my request. I had recently made lengthy statements to the police, concerning child hood abuse I had suffered. I was eventually diagnosed with "personality Disorder" after being subjected to, what I felt to be psychological intimidation and sexual harassment HELP

The mental health service never questioned my claim about abuse, I mean they never said "we don't believe you." In fact statements have been made such as "he has a very disturbed back ground" and "he was a child abuse victim." A psychiatrist has recently done some very in- depth reports about me, based on medical, school, social service and court reports.

In it, he states that I have a "personality disorder based on a complex post traumatic stress syndrome."

He also says that he believes my claim about abuse to be believable and he supports my view that I have "repressed memory syndrome." A barrister felt we had enough evidence to take civil action against the person who abused me.

Therefore, the fact that I was abused is accepted and yet I have never received therapy to deal with it, though I have continually tried to get it. Because of my pending legal case for personal injuries, I will not make a legal challenge concerning treatment because it would jeopardise my chances of winning my pending case. However, I have met many people with a similar set of circumstances and they don't get help. I believe it must be possible, for victims to take collective legal action. I think this is what happened with post traumatic stress and solders."
