Ive played 1 through 8, and 7 is good. But not the best, 6 is still champion overall. Then Id choose Chrono Trigger (Even tho its not an FF), cause thats just one damn good FF-like story.

Xenogears is the first game I ever played for Playstation. It's made by Squaresoft, so it's GOT to be good...basically it's a FF game and an Anime rolled into one, with the ability to JUMP, as well (and no bad camera angles!)

There may be Final Fantasy games that are better then FF7. Yet the fact remains it is still a good game. You people do to much comparing. If one sock you own is better then another sock you own, that doesn't mean the sock that isn't as good sucks. It just means that there is a better sock. So if FF6 is better then FF7, it doesn't mean FF7 sucks, it means it is not the same quality as FF7. Oh, and to those "FF7 sucks" fanatics, tell that to the millions who think it's the best RPG ever. In my opinion I like Chrono Trigger the most out of all RPG's. But I haven't played many. I left video games behind a long time ago. They aren't that good for your brain. I learned this after beating FF9 in one and a half days. In my opinion the arcade is more thrilling than sitting at home spending hours at the playstation. FF7 is a great game. I have yet to find any proof for why it sucks. And i doubt anyone can ever find any proof of why it sucks. Why is that? because there isn't any. I'm not saying I like FF7 more then other games, i'm just saying it isn't a bad game. At all. And you guys need to be more mature in making your desisions. It doesn't suck if a better solution exists, it just isn't as good.

BK/SO you fucking rule. That was exactly my point. FF7 isn't without it's good points, but when it came out, everyone forgot about 1, 4, and 6. Why? My theory is because the publicity was better (PS), and the graphics were 3D now. You're also right about the people that think it's the ONLY Final Fantasy. I mean, in the U.S. there's 8 others to choose from, for Christ's sake. Quit acting like 7 (mediocre at best) is the only one out there. That's the gist!

I read at gamespot.com awhile back that square planned on rereleasing FF7,8,and 9 for PS2 sometime in the future. But most likely it won't happen or it will be a japan only game. Damnit. I hate it when games that are good or look good or are just rereleases never make it here. The same happend with FF1. There is this system called wonderswan in Japan and it never made it here I don't think and FF1 was on it and the characters you chose would talk. Not that it matters though. And look at the original FF2 & FF3. They did not come here. The only way to play them is with an nes emulator for the coumputer. And if you are really luck you can get a hacked one with an english translation. I did that with 2 once but the translation was not even finished to know what was going on. Well I am getting tired of typing this post. Thats all.
