Well, we all have to start somewhere.....i need some advice on how to break into the raver sceen...i live in the winston-salem/kernersville area.....i love the music, and i want want to experence a rave soo bad....anyone got any advice?

I'm gonna have to stick with Candy Kid with this one. Never ask how to be something.....just be yourself and everything will fall into place. I mean actually you can make an ass of yourself, i do all the time, but it doesn't really matter. If you go to a rave there will always be at least 5 people who suck more than you. It helps if you're a girl becaus ei a girl can suck at dancing and everyone's still amazed (or pretends to be because she has tits) guys on the other hand if we suck we hear about it. Aha.

Rave party, at least there are parties where you guys live. I'm currently living is a small dead "white-people" town and the people here don't even know what rave is. i'm the only raver at my college and it really suck, but also cool because all the girls love the funcky glow-sticks. It's like magic for them, but enough BS! to answer the question, you can never be a true raver. just swing your glow-sticks around and that's raver enough!

Okay, I am a freshman in high school right now. At the begining of this year, I didnt know what it was, untill I dated a guy who introduced me to it at the begging of the year.After we broke up, I got MORE into it, and all it really takes is, alot of practice and to feel the music. I havent ever done drugs and I wouldnt suggest it either, but its your decision. Get some light sticks, and just feel the music. there are a numerous amount of web sites you can go to, try going to a search engine such as yahoo.com, and typing in rave or whatever, and it will find you some good sites. laterz! I went to my first rave a couple of days ago and had the time of my life...I realized that it doesn't matter what you do because if people are true ravers they respect you and the way you are so there is no need to impress anyone. I can't really dance but I had a ton of people showing me moves, teaching me how to do lightshows, and offering hugs. It was just a wonderful glowing night and I am sure I will be going back again and again...so just go for it! I even got extra hugs and such because people were so excited to hear I was a rave virgin!! :)

hmm...I don't want to be a raver, but I want to go to a rave, because I like the music (mostly gabber, speedcore, you understand, but I'm a big hater on other styles like gabbas). There are 0 raves in this area, unless I want to go dance to some Reggae, but reggae offers me nothing. Its just not in demand here. As for things like PLUR, I don't believe in PLUR, because well...its stupid and overused. So for now, I'll just stick with going to local metal concerts whenever friends get a gig, or just make music myself. A newbs tip: Don't do drugs if you haven't started yet, because the people who do them won't care because they're fucked up, and see halos around lights.

Gear up. what i did was i wore neon beads up my arm and neon colors. Black did well to though. I brought like 4 glowsticks and a glowstick mouthpeice, and the wristbands. It was an awesome time! Dj Transmission u rock!
