Knowing that OK has a vast, multifarious, and multi-talented audience, I wonder if anyone out there can answer a question pertaining to the 2003 WOC. The Classic race area has been previously used and mapped, and the map can be seen online (I think Spike included a link to the map in his blog at some point.) The area looks familiar to me, and I wonder if anyone knows if it's the same place that was used for the final day of the 1980 Swiss 5 Day?

Answers

Sure don't think so. Whole event in 1980 was centered in Burgdorf (near Bern), with day 5 just outside Burgdorf. WOC 2003 is in eastern Switzerland (Zurich/Winterthur/Flims). Are you thinking of the 1982 5- day near Zurich? Or have you just lost your mind (or had a "senior moment" as us old folks like to say)?
