To whom it may concern

I would like to know what is the difference between dvdrom drives and cdrom drives, or cdrw drives and dvdrw drives. is it just a difference in software? Please inform me as soon as possible.

a cd rom drive can only play cd.s dvd roms can play dvd.s dvd videos and cd.s cd rw makes cd dvd rw maks dvd.s if u wont to by 1 get a cd/dvd rw combo

All DVD-ROM drives are also CD-ROM drives by default but not all CD- ROM drives are DVD-ROM drives; meaning a DVD-ROM drive can read everything a CD-ROM drive can, but the latter can't read DVD media. But if u are NOT even aware that THERE indeed ARE physical differences between DVD-ROM and CD-ROM drives then this is not really the forum for u; there are others out there w/ more on the matter, technically and otherwise.
