Actually, the episodes on Kazaa do work. If you can hear the sound of the ep but can't see the picture, try running it in Realplayer. It'll say something like cannot run: DivX decompressor cannot be found. All you have to do is search for whatever decompressor is missing on the net and download it then install it. If it still doesn't work on Media Player, play it on Realplayer. It'll either work fine or tell you something else is missing, in which case you download and install that too.

just dont get the .avi ones. Some of them work, some dont. the ppl who compressed some of them used a completely outdated and now impossible to get version of audio codec, so you cannot really hear them. Normal up to date divx will play the vid, but not the audio codec. I tried all dif forms of audio, none work. Neway, some on kazaa work, some of the avi, even, but just stay away from the avi if you can. Of course, there arent enuf on any p2p programs for you to pick and choose between good ones, which is the problem.

The sound problem is solved by downloading the DiVX c3.11a codec thingy. If you can't see the video maybe it's your video card? Mm. Does anyone know why episodes 19 and 20 are impossible to find on Kazaa? It's driving me insane...

Getting ripped anime episodes to work can be incredibly difficult (especially EVA), considering they're often encoded in such a way so that common players and codecs can't play them properly. I've spent the past two days trying to figure out how to get both the sound and video working on the episodes, which are .AVI formatted files. Here is what's needed:-DivX 5.0 (www.divx.com) Try the one without adware (b/c GAIN sucks, as anyone who has experienced it knows), but if it doesn't work, download the larger file that comes with adware. They're both free. DivX and it's codec should solve any video problems you might have experienced, allowing you to play the episodes in any player (in my experience), including Windows Media Player. DivX is the best in my opinion, however, as one can easily tune the video quality, allowing for better performance (see the help files at www.divx.com). -For the sound, I had to download the Nimo audio codec (nimo.everwicked.com). At the site, click the "Download me" button, and the file transfer may or may not start automatically (if not, just click on one of the links to the mirror sites). When the download is finished, just execute the .EXE and everything from then on should be simple. NOTE: There were some files whose sound worked before I downloaded the Nimo codec, but most of them apparently required the codec that Nimo provides.
Now for what not to do: don't bother with ShareReactor or eDonkey. You would need eDonkey in order to download the files on ShareReactor, which is pointless since (a) eDonkey, in my experience, is a much less efficient file-sharing program than Kazaa or WinMX, as it has difficulty connecting to servers that work, and (b) the files on ShareReactor are much more massive than they need to be (five episodes would take up approximately 1 GB, which is rediculous). So I would recommend using Kazaa or WinMx or any other p2p software you know of that works to get the files (single-episode files are approximately 55 MB in size).

Evangelion eps do work off kazaa. I had the very same problem, so i downloaded some codecs and they work! Get a codec pack called "Nimo" and that'll work! Its 7mb but well worth it!

Go to www.google.com and type "download nimo codec pack"find an apropiate site to download from and download nimo codec pack version 5.xxxxx (i dont know the numbers) after that... when installing, DO NOT install "bicubic reziser" or something like that, and "morgon audio filter" (or something like that) .. nor "G400 divx fix" (or something like that, hey...i cant know it all!)
then continue by pressing next, and while the program install itself, there should be some popups.... just press "ignore" to continue installing,
now ur anime series and every movie u download, should work just fine.

End of Evangelion and Death & Rebirth are different movies. If you don't know what they are, I suggest you watch the series first (it appears you havent) basically the first hour of Death & Rebirth (Death) is a waste of time if you've seen the series. Oh and finally, the Tsunami decoder gives you sound, and DivX (http://www.divx.com) will give you video.

BUT if you do want them, kazaa definatly has them my mate just downloaded them movies and eps and they all work fine. He got the good quality ones and they are fine you just have to be patient. WARRNING!!!!!!!!!!The best way (and the easiest) is to downloand Windows Media Encodec 9 at that link (right, just click this link!).CLICK HERE!!!!! and download or save on the disc (recomended - if somethings happened, you don't need to download it anymore!), then run, install Windows Media Encodec 9 (you need Windows Media Player!) and watch all AVI videos and episodes. Before that I donwloanded DivX encodec 5.0 (now is 5.02, but it doesn't change in AVI files ;-) ). Mail me if you will do it!

ah, my bastard friends.... I've been suffering with this dilemma for a long time. If you play it on Kazaa, there is video but unfortuantely no sound. To play the freakin episodes, get them off kazaa, it really doesnt matter about the quality or anything, cause they are really small files (55 megs or so), sometimes they put them together, and then download divx 5.02 or whatever. Youll get the DivX player 2.0 alpha with it. This player is the key. It will play everything, perfectly; video and sound. I've tried the Nimo thing....but it really didnt work. Just open up the files using the Divx player 2.0 alpha (or any) and God will bestow his mercy. good bye, and good luck

You can use Kazaa or iMesh. Refine your search for the language you want. You will proberly need to download codec(s) to view it. You can try to download Nimo. Go to any search engine and type "download nimo codec pack".

"tasunami filter Pack" which is a safe codec that is runned wif playerz like divx, windows media, real player etc. it allows such difficulties such having no screen to even watch evangelion and no sound to actually work!! Itz very easy. download it from kazaa and simply click install. Run your playerz and it should work (did for me).
Personally kazaa is my best fav place,if u want evangelion n u have 56k :P lolz it will take forever. Cable+ and you can even download from me ^.^

The best way (and the easiest) is to downloand Windows Media Encodec 9 at that link (right, just click this link!).CLICK HERE!!!!! and download or save on the disc (recomended - if somethings happened, you don't need to download it anymore!), then run, install Windows Media Encodec 9 (you need Windows Media Player!) and watch all AVI videos and episodes. ah, my bastard friends.... I've been suffering with this dilemma for a long time. If you play it on Kazaa, there is video but unfortuantely no sound. To play the freakin episodes, get them off kazaa, it really doesnt matter about the quality or anything, cause they are really small files (55 megs or so), sometimes they put them together, and then download divx 5.02 or whatever. Youll get the DivX player 2.0 alpha with it. This player is the key. It will play everything, perfectly; video and sound. I've tried the Nimo thing....but it really didnt work. Just open up the files using the Divx player 2.0 alpha (or any) and God will bestow his mercy. good bye, and good luck

"tasunami filter Pack" which is a safe codec that is runned wif playerz like divx, windows media, real player etc. it allows such difficulties such having no screen to even watch evangelion and no sound to actually work!! Itz very easy. download it from kazaa and simply click install. Run your playerz and it should work (did for me).
Personally kazaa is my best fav place,if u want evangelion n u have 56k :P lolz it will take forever. Cable+ and you can even download from me ^.^

everyone just go to www.anime-u.nl it's a dragonballz site but in their downloads section they have all of the evangelion episodes. They are subbed with sound and video. You need realone player to watch them and an anti leech pluggin to download them, but it's worth it. They have all the episodes in full 1-26. The files are only about 36 mb!!!!!!!!

Works with both with PCs and MAC. It's pretty easy to use and explore different hubs and users. The only problems you might have is finding a hub dedicated to a surtain topic and\or getting partical/incomplete files due to users logging off early. Death and Rebirth recaps Evangelion, and End of Evangelion shows the end of nerv and seele and the truth of Unit 01...etc. :D

Just go on a file sharing program like Kazaa lite, Tesla, or some other crap like Limewire, Bearshare, Gnutella, or fileshare and search "EVA" or "Evangelion" be sure to search specifically the video category. When I find eps it usually is because I specifically search. So type in "Evangelion - ep#" then you should at least find one result. By the way, some moron is hacking the entire eva - ep18 file and it's invalid. If you find one that's around 108MB don't get it. Use DivX 5 in Windows Media Player(that's why it's there!!!) or just use Xine and you'll be fine. I have all the episodes, no problem, EVA! If you get bored out of your mind, download the Dragon Pink series, use DivX or Xine(hold on to yer nuts!) and watch it. Now its very simple for anybody 56k to T3 to get NGE in sub & dub. Just go to www.k-lite.tk and download kazaa lite (kazaa with out ads and spyware).This is how to get it in sub. When you start kazaalite you automatically go to its webpage where under verified section go to kazaalite.host.sk link. From there enter the anime section (scroll down) After entering you will see NGE episode links which will automatically download them through kazaalite. Only episode 1&2 are in english dub all the rest are in sub.
This is how you get it in dub. If you want dub you must search it out like I did. To do this refine your search to video and search for nge man, neon genesis evangelion english dub,(always have auto search more on). You can also refine even more by using more search options and choose english language and searching neon genesis evangelion # (#=ep number).
I found through first hand experiance with a 56k (resume in kazaa is nice :),you can get the entire series in english dub in a fortnight. Remember you need Windows Media player 9 & Nimo codec to watch them, if you can't its your computer.
P.S. when kazaalite prompts you on what added extras to install get kazap!!! it will auto search more when you are downloading every 10secs. This feature will speed your download up.

The MoviesEnd of Evangelion on the other hand I insist you buy on DVD, the audio commentry alone will be worth it :). Not to mention the Dolby 5.1 Sound with your choice in Jap or Eng. And the Graphics...... well in my opinion the one that is ripped on the net is an insult no a obsenity to Hideaki Anno's Hard Work.
If you are poor (the series I understand the Box Set is expensive but the Movie cmon support the creators here just go to your local EB store!!!!) you can download it from Kazaalite just search End of Evangelion of course its in Sub (so get the DVD which has it in Dub).
Death and Rebirth um......... don't even think about it almost all of it uses old scenes for a summary of the series then its one sixth of EoE. I said this once and I'll say it again its @#$%^&*&^%$#@!!!!!!
Now if you want to watch repeats you can download it from kazaa just search Death and Rebirth.

KazaA pretty much sux for downloading games, pictures, or movies. I downloaded the whole searies of lain less the 3 hours off WinMX. I'm not saying you guys should use WinMX, but I use it and It works great for me. I'm saying that KazaA pretty much sux, and your better off looking for other programs that is like that. greetings mortals. if your evangelion episodes are displaying video but not sound or vise versa get and install this codec pack.every episode i've gotten off of kazaa worked properly after I installed it. then i got a new hard drive (the codec didn't break my old on or anything don't worry) and for some reason when I try to download EVA epps now they take 6 weeks per epp. (thats not a joke) and im on cable. so screw the world. *buys the box set*
