I have a really big AVI file and I want to cut it in half so it can fit on 2 cd's but I can't find any program that will do it? I've looked all over the place too.

Adobe Premiere, as well as other cheaper NLEs (like VideoWave) can do this 4 u. But for something as casual as using once they will probably be too expensive 4 u.

use virtualdub for cutting and joining avi files. Its free, fast and reliable.

Try AVI Chop, it's a really good program and lets you specify what size you want to split it at. I had this problem when trying to burn a 2 hour movie onto 2 VCDs, this program worked fine for me. You can find it at http://www.divx- digest.com/software/avichop.html . The only downside is that sometimes, it creates curupt files.

avi chop is ok if you dont want audio on the bloody created file
