If the folk have no where else to go, they will gather in the lobby. Are those meetings fruitful? Are we gathering information from one another to take back home and implement? Are componets meeting? What benefits are reaped from these gatherings? If they are fruitful and benefits one another, then meet on. If we're meeting to keep the gossip mill running, then... oh my!!! Let us pray!!!

What a fellowship!!

Love to all, praying for fruit in our lives and in our community.

Well to answer a part of your question, I just left the meeting at the Tampa Marriott/Waterside. Arriving today, I am still trying to figure out what is going on, I have not been able to secure an adgenda that would outline the schedule, so therefore I remain very much in the dark. I did secure a ticket for the banquet tonight and will look forward to that. This is my first General Board Meeting/Bishop's Council...so I am trying to keep an open mind. There is definitely a lot of gathering in the lobby...candidates passing out their literature...vendors selling all kinds of clothing, hats, books, etc... but as far as business....I am still trying to find out..

Sister Powers

The meeting information is normally handled by the Finance Department including schedules and room numbers. I am so sorry you were not properly informed. Next time touch base with the Finance Department in Washington before the meeting and find them at the Hotel Site for the meetings. Contact person in Washington is Ms. Rita Pendleton at 202-371-8700.

Hope this helps and please try again next year, It will be in Philadelphia as the Medallion is passed to Bishop Norris.

God Bless You
