My husband and I contribute as laics with the site of the "Congregation of the Sacred Stigmata" - www.estigmatinos.com.br/En_index. You can find there more information about St. Gaspar Bertoni, the founder. We have more information, also, in English and Portuguese languages, and link to the General Office website for Italian language. We like to study the life of the saints, in special of St. Gaspar Bertoni, the "Apostlhe of the Youth". If you need more information, please e-mail us any time. Thank you. May God bless.

Late in 2003 and early in 2004, Pope John Paul II beatified sixteen servants of God. The following one was assigned this calendar day for yearly commemoration.

Bl. Mary Candida of the Eucharist Barba of Catazaro [Maria Candida dell'Eucharistia] [baptized Maria] (Italian, daughter of a judge in Sicily, Discalced Carmelite sister at age 35, prioress, died at age 65 in 1949 [beatified 2004])
[In Latin, "candida" means "shining white."]
