It's my mistake..

Hi,

> Yeah I'm interested in that one also, especially the "3 seconds" > shutter lag! Even according to Erwin, who has waged a one-man war > against the Hexar over the film-plane "issue", the Hexar RF has a > 100ms, which is 1/10 of a second...and my Hexar must be the > turbocharged model because mine's a hair-trigger.

I was speaking the AF Hexar not the RF, I own a silver Hexar AF, and WHEN I got my M6, I was really surprised because there is NO shutter lag, compare to my Hexar AF of course.. I fault my M was broken :-) I also REALLY appreciate the sound (or should I say the silent..) of the M.

But It's my mistake, my English is too basic for all this technical stuff (or jokes..), imagine one second when I tried to understand the zone system technique in English, I cannot understood a single word :-/

Last things, I found all the information I need in the M6 manual about the size of the light meter, with all the lens.. And I order a book about the zone system... In French :-)

Best regards.

Simon, you will find that practicing the Zone system with any 35mm camera is almost impossible. The Zone is applied differently with every picture, including development of the negative. Very difficult when you are shooting 24 - 36 shots. It is more appropriate for larger format, but it is nice to understand the method.

Patrick, actually there are books on using some of the Zone System techniques with 35mm cameras. However you are right in that it mostly applies to individual development of sheet film. That said, there are still basic principles of understanding Zones that can be applied shot by shot. It could help Simon determine where Zone VI is in a scene and adjust accordingly. Then again, maybe not.

Reponse for Jay (infinitydt@aol.com)... In french :-) It's easier for me, since my English is really basic !

Salutations,
