I have recently bought an EOS 30 which has the DP feature, whereby you can select two distances with the shutter button and the camera will make everything in focus within those two distances, when taking the picture on the 3rd press of the shutter button. My question is, after selecting the two distances, if I do not take the picture (3rd depression of shutter) quite quickly, the camera appears to reset, is this correct or am I overlooking something?

You have to take the picture within 4 seconds, according to page 61 of the manual.
