I'm just about to order some new Leica lenses from my auth. dealer in Hong Kong, but he informs me that the prices went up 5% since June 1 given the rising Euro - has anyone else heard the same thing?

Yes, two weeks ago I e-mailed Tin Cheung Camera Co. in Hong Kong asking prices on M6 TTL and some lenses. This Monday they said the prices have been increased because of exchange rate. But I'm lucky that they can hold the original prices when I placed the order this Tue.

If a salesman feeds me a line like that I'll tell him I'd buy his camera after the prices drop following a reduction in the foreign exchange rate.

Fred, somehow exchange rates makes prices go up, but curiously enough the never come down... ;-)
