Was just wondering if anyone knew any history about the Southern line that went through York, SC.

There were 2 SR lines thru York. The most signifcant was a Southern shortline, the Carolina & North-Western. You can pick up a copy of "The History of the Carolina & North-Western" from Amazon.com or TarheelPress.com for an in-depth study of the line, including the antebellum "Kings Mountain Railroad" that ran between York & Chester.
