Ah, evolution, or not; your opinion.

I know that you only want to discuss the evils of Bush while this site continues; but I have a question.

I was working on the computer. The pup started barking his fool head off. I went out to see what the problem was. It was there; about 40 ft in the air, in the big green ash in the front. It was a rodent. It had the scruffy tail and fat body of a ground hog, but the face shape of a weasel. It was eating seeds from the tree. When I stepped outside it jumped [about 20 ft] to the roof, ran across, jumped to limbs on the chestnut; ran down the limbs to the ground and disappeared into the forest. Before coming here, I spent about half of my time in the eastern mountains and half of my time in the west. Haven't seen anything that looked quite like this.

Have the aliens landed? ;<)

Best Wishes,,,,,

I saw on TV news that someone in CA found a capybara in their swimming pool. No one knew how it got there. Maybe the capybaras are in covert cooperation with African honey bees to invade NA from SA?

Yes, wouldn't be nice to change the subject around here now and then? The relentless Bush-bashing is boring as is the bashing of the Bush-bashers.

Oh well, we'll all be scattered to the cyber winds soon enough. I wonder how that will happen; ie, will all Greenspun forums be closed some day soon with no warning?

Bears Invade Metro Atlanta. I trust that Ted Turner will give ASPCA 1 billion dollars to fix this.

LOL, you may THINK you've been everywhere and seen everything, but you obviously haven't. It was probably just a marmot, not some freak of evolution. I'm sure Olson's doom freaks will buy your theory though, have you tried over there?

It had the scruffy tail and fat body of a ground hog, but the face shape of a weasel.

Sounds a lot like Bush!! Stupid Repug!!!

fat body of a ground hog... Dick Cheney

face shape of a weasel... Dubya

Z that sounds like a possum. Did it look like this?

-- (cin@cin.cin), June 04, 2002.

Possums are much too low class for Z's neighborhood. Besides, he's too much of a tightass to leave any scraps around for them.

-- (shame@on.you), June 04, 2002.

Naw Cin, we have lots of possums. I also know what marmots look like. We have otters, beavers, muskrats, fishers etc. This was different. Looked like a ground hog but could climb and jump like a squirrel. It was about twice the size of a fox squirrel but squat.

I've also noticed that we have much more poison ivy since Bush was elected. Coinky-dink. I think not.

Yep Cin:

We have a number of wild simmon trees between the edge of the back yard and the south arm of the main pond. In the fall, after a good freeze, the trees are alive with possums; chowing down on simmons.

The old chestnuts about possums in a simmon tree has some merit. Betwixt the deer, the possums and the other wildlife, we have to fight to get one loaf of simmon-black walnut bread.

Hmm, doesn't sound like a chupacabra Z, but then they are known to morph!

Howzabout sharing that simmon-black walnut bread recipe while there is still time?

-- Aunt__Bee (Aunt__Bee@hotmail.com), June 04, 2002.

Sorry Bee, my legal counsel has advised me not to share that recipe, it's a treasured family secret. :<))) Besides, there's no way you could ever get Simmon black walnuts, I had them genetically engineered exclusively for my private villa. It's nice to know people in high places within the agricultural science profession. :<)))

Fat little body and the head of a weasel. Clearly a wolverine with childhood obesity.
