Information needed on a strange LTM

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I saw a Leica screw mount camera (seriel # around 160,xxx) with some non English words engraved on the rear side of the base plate. The only words I can recognise is "Sao Paulo", the other words looks like Spanish. When I opened the base plate, there was a piece of paper which looked like stamps in the old days sticked on the inner side of the plate. The film loading instruction is screwed on the inner side of the base plate. Can someone please give me information of this camera. Thanks.

Didn't the "piece of paper" say?

Lux, The piece of paper is not in English.

It was not uncommon for distributors, dealers or owners to have their Leicas engraved.

The camera is a Leica I, II, III, or IIII, depending on the serial number. How about the 4th and 5th digit?
