Hi I have an autorun line that I usually use to play movies on my pc, wheather it is .avi, mpeg, dat any format the line I use is this..

[autorun] open=start mplayer2.exe /play /close \My video.avi

when I try to use this path in windows 2000, it gives me the following error...

"Access to specified device, path or file name is denied"

I then got hold of a modified autorun that was supposed to work on windows 2000 as well but it just gave me the same error and also will not work on earlier versions of windows. This is the path.

[autorun] open=autorun.exe mplayer2.exe /fullscreen /play /close \My video.avi

can anyone please help me, thank you very much

Instead of using "Windows Media Player", maybe you should use "Macromedia Director" or "Macromedia Authorware" to creat a player for your movies.

If you can get a vcd thats been authored with videopack5, it should have a great autorun vcd player on it. Videopack5 includes the player and the autorun by default on the VCDs it creates.
