The Newton branch of my family goes through North Carolina and I'm wondering if the town could be named after any of them. Amos (b. Virginia)is as far back as I can get, and his sons, Benjamin Caswell, Thomas,and Amos were all born in North Carolina but I don't know where. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
