That thing looks pretty beat up, but for $85 (!!!!!!!!) I'm pissed I missed it. Gotta spend more time on ebay I guess. The sad thing is that I just over my addiction....

It ended with BUY IT NOW, which I have also used on occasion to pick up good deals. These auctions usually end in the first hour after posting however.

My guess is that this is a mistake...the seller has a 35 Summilux that he knows the proper price...then again, maybe it's just someone's lucky day!

Late Late last night I had typed in "leica" in the Ebay search field..Then I sorted by newly listed items..This lens was the first item at the top with a 50 dollar first bid price...So I opened up the auction and the start price was 50 and buy it now was 85 dollars..........I quickly scrolled down the page to read the item's description; to see if maybe it was a junker....; Like maybe water damaged or front element broken or missing or rear mount missing etc..Heck is his shipping only 7 bucks!....So I went quickly to bid and the auction ended before I could bid! Carlin & Ray; the seller has his other lens with a 500 dollar start; and a 850 dollar buy it now....it is the Leitz Canada Summulux 35mm F1.4.. so if he goofed on the buy it now maybe it should have been several hundred $ ? on the F2 Summicron ????Kelly

What is the difference between this 35mm F2 Summicron and the one with eye for M3? Are not they the same 8 element lens? But the price is quite different.

Exactly the same glass, but the goggled lens is cammed to focus accurately throughout the range only on the M3.
