Control Card for Leica 593860

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

About two years ago I bought an ever-ready case for my leica screw-mount at a local antique camera store in Dallas. The store was called KEH Cameras, and unfortunately it went out of business.

Inside the ERC, I found the control card (with signatures) for Leica #593860, which I believe is a IIIf. I will return it to the owner of the camera...if I can find him/her.

The KEH in Dallas was owned by the wife of the owner of KEH in Atlanta. I assume (just guessing) that the stock from Dallas was transfered to Atlanta. Maybe they could help you. If not try Leica in NJ.

Good Luck,

Jim,

As FWB said you can try Leica NJ. Ask for Liz in registration.

However, don't think you'll have much luck. She claims that when they made the move from Park Ave. in NYC, many of the records didn't make it across the river. Because of that they honored warranty claims for a couple of years, trusting the claiment as they lacked the those registrations.

Best,

Jerry
