Does any one know if all of the M4 top plates are the same? Which plates would fit on an M4-2? Would an M6 plate fit? If anyone has done this work, I'd love to hear about it.

Yes an M6 top plate would fit but you have to change the sync post holder over to the single type (or maybe drill another hole?). The only question that comes to mind is why? Top plates are not inexpensive.

I just see more M6 plate out on ebay than I do M4's.
