OT: Heeelp needed

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

Dearfellow Leica users,

I apolgize for intruding with non-Leica-related question, and I ask the moderator to delete it within the a few days, but it's rather urgent:

I need a room, and do so ASAP as the guy I'm currently living with has effectively thrown me out, and my final exams will start in two weeks.

When a friend offered me one room in his apartment a few weeks ago, I accepted. What we didn't know by then was that we have radically different daily rhythms, (he's working on flex-time and an evening person, I love to get up early....), and there are a few other items...to cut it short, he's made clear that he'd 'very much prefer' to not find me in his place when he returns from a short holiday this Sunday. Whenever I tried to talk with him, he turned either sarcastic over openly aggressive (and he's 6" taller and 40 lbs. heavier than me) whenever I wasn't giving in.

The city I'm currently living in has an extreme shortage of affordable flats. (It's difficult for companies now to find employees--they refuse to move here as rents are too high). Our caring local government has appropriated a few dorms to provide accommodation for the athletes at the world track & field championships, to take place here in a few months. And I am on a student budget! So: if any of the Bavarian contributors to this forum knows about something... I don't like to be homeless, and my final exams are uncomfortably close.

TIA...

When I had roommate problems, I just stayed out of the apartment for most of the day (classes + library + work ). Maybe you can agree to do the same thing with him. I would imagine your library has long and convenient hours to accomodate you during the day.Try to reason with him before abandoning ship.

LMU probably means that you are in munich. you should state that when you are looking for a place.

Oliver, sorry, but I am looking for a flat (3 rooms) in Munich myself. But if I hear about one, I'll let you know. Maybe contact the Hausverwaltung somewhere (Rudolf Schäfer HV, Stadler HV, Rohrer HV) and try to get one from them directly (w/o Maklerprovision ;-)).
For more questions just mail me.

Yes, I am in Munich, but currently I'm too desperate to elaborate.

We seem to have posted simultaneously, Kai.
